Trash Pile Big Sweep 2006On Saturday, March 12 from 9am to Noon, join Clean Jordan Lake as a volunteer to help intercept trash before it gets to the shoreline. This is a new initiative to complement our Adopt-A-Feeder Stream Program. The cleanup is part of the City of Durham’s Annual Creek Week, a time to discover and clean up Durham’s waterways. Volunteers will clean the banks of New Hope Creek just above where it enters the NC Wildlife Resources Commission’s New Hope Waterfowl Impoundment. They will meet at the Waterfowl Impoundment parking area off NC 54 just west of Garrett Road. Event details and RSVP are at meetup.com/helpcleanjordanlake.

Meet Clean Jordan Lake representatives and learn more about this event at TLC’s free Wild Ideas for Getting Outside on Wednesday, March 9.
