Diquan Edmonds

Education and Outreach Manager

What is your role at TLC? As the Education and Outreach Manager, it is my job to develop and implement events and education programs to engage all members of our communities around TLC’s preserves, conservation, and stewardship efforts.

Favorite TLC Preserve? Johnston Mill is my favorite. I love hiking along the New Hope Creek while watching out for wildlife. Like many of TLC’s preserves, it’s amazing that we have such peaceful places to enjoy that are so close to urban centers.

Diquan joined TLC in December 2020 as the Education and Outreach Manager. Previously, Diquan worked with the North Carolina Recreation and Park Association, and has a background in parks and recreation. He received his Master’s of Science degree from North Carolina State University in Parks, Recreation, & Tourism Management where his research focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion in the outdoors. In the summer after earning his master’s degree, Diquan held an internship working with the Youth Conservation Corps in Yellowstone National Park. Diquan is passionate about conservation and connecting people to our natural resources.
