Sandy Creek Monarch Festival @ Sandy Creek Park

Join us as we celebrate the amazing journey of the Monarch butterfly! Sandy Creek Park is a certified waystation for Monarch butterflies as they migrate throughout North America. This unique Durham park features milkweed, nectar sources and shelter that help sustain Monarchs throughout their migration. In celebration of the Monarchs, the Durham Monarch Festival will feature music, family friendly activities & food. Experts will be giving talks about Monarch biology, ecology, and conservation and pollinator friendly plants will be available for purchase.

A Drawing Experience w/ FRANK Gallery Artists

TRAVEL JOURNALS returns this fall for another season of art on the go.
Each Session is $25 ($20 for participants under 15 years of age)*

All materials will be provided.** Click here for a full list of fall classes including the Johnston Mill class with Nerys Levy on December 2nd. 

These fall sessions (unless otherwise indicated) are held outside on a variety of terrain and weather conditions. Please wear comfortable shoes, wear layers to accommodate changes in temperatures. Inclement weather will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
