Founders’ Day Celebration 2016 @ Trophy Brewing
Feb 19 @ 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm

Founder's Day at Trophy BrewingThirty-three years ago (our Founder’s Day is February 17, 1983) TLC officially became a recognized organization, and we’ve been hard at work conserving land ever since. For that, we deserve a trophy! Come celebrate with us at Trophy Brewing & Taproom on Maywood Avenue in Raleigh on February 19, the week of our founding! Join us for a brewery tour at 5:30pm and learn from the brew masters how the entire brewing process begins with clean water. Then, experience for yourself what beer brewed with water from a TLC protected watershed tastes like with one free tasting of Trophy beers brewed on the premises. Additional drinks available for purchase, light snacks and non-alcoholic beverages will also be available.

Space is limited so reserve your free spot now!

Volunteers will clean the banks of New Hope Creek just above where it enters the NC Wildlife Resources Commission’s New Hope Waterfowl Impoundment. They will meet at the Waterfowl Impoundment parking area off NC 54 just west of Garrett Road. Event details and RSVP are at meetup.com/helpcleanjordanlake.

Meet Clean Jordan Lake representatives and learn more about this event at TLC’s free Wild Ideas for Getting Outside on Wednesday, March 9.

Get Wild! Campfire @ Horton Grove Nature Preserve
Oct 8 @ 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm

Get Wild! Campfire

This event has been cancelled due to inclement weather.

Join us for an evening walk, a campfire, and a rare chance to see the preserve after dark. As it starts to get dusky, we’ll walk a mile long loop around our That Makes Sense Children’s Trail learning about some of the many nocturnal animals that call Horton Grove Nature Preserve home. Then as the sun sets, we’ll make a campfire and toast some marshmallows for s’mores.

S’mores supplies are provided. Please bring your own flashlight if you have one and lawn chairs or blankets to sit on. Bug spray is also recommended.
