Join us for an evening walk, a campfire, and a rare chance to see the preserve after dark. As it starts to get dusky, we’ll walk a mile long loop around our That Makes Sense Children’s Trail learning about some of the many nocturnal animals that call Horton Grove Nature Preserve home. Then as the sun sets, we’ll make a campfire and toast some marshmallows for s’mores.
S’mores supplies are provided. Please bring your own flashlight if you have one and lawn chairs or blankets to sit on. Bug spray is also recommended.
This event is now full. A few spots are still reserved for Big Brothers Big Sisters mentor pairs, who may register separately. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or 919-908-0054 to register as a mentor pair. Otherwise please join us at future Get Wild! events.
Join TLC and Learning Outside at Irvin Nature Preserve for an evening of family fun celebrating the fall season. We’ll paint pumpkins, use the colorful fall leaves to create sun catchers, try some nature games, and end the night roasting marshmallows over the campfire.
All ages welcome. Please dress for the weather and bring a chair/blanket to sit around the campfire.
Registration is full; please contact Molly Richard, AmeriCorps@triangleland.org, if you wish to be placed on the wait list. You may also join TLC for Get Wild! Creek Critters on June 23rd.
