April 2021 – Eastcut Sandwich Bar TLC Fundraiser @ Eastcut Sandwich Bar
Apr 22 @ 11:00 am – 8:00 pm

This Earth Day, Thursday April 22nd, eat a delicious sandwich and support TLC at the same time! Eastcut Sandwich Bar is donating 10% of the day’s sales to TLC. All month long you’ll also see information about TLC on their website, as well as a donation button. Get a head start by figuring out what you want to order by checking out their menu!

One of Eastcut’s Core Values is “Giving Back.” In the spirit of that, they have set out to formalize their impact strategy in order to make giving more intentional and meaningful to their non-profit partners.  The newly launched Eastcut Sandwich Utopia Pledge is a pledge to donate the equivalent of 1% of annual revenue through funds to directly donate, funds raised from the community, in-kind donations, and volunteer time. The pledge focuses on three pillars that directly connect with Eastcut’s mission and journey as a company: Food Insecurity, Education & Entrepreneurship, and the Environment. Eastcut identifies and partners with a non-profit organization doing great work in each pillar – their current partners are The Food Bank of Central & Eastern NC, Seeds, and Triangle Land Conservancy.

White Pines Nature Tour May 2021 @ White Pines Nature Preserve
May 15 @ 8:45 am – 11:00 am

Take a guided tour through one of the most unique and isolated ecosystems in the Southeast. Follow TLC Trail Guide, Denis DuBay, through our very first Nature Preserve where he will engage you with everything from land histories to information on the ecology of the preserve. He may even turn the tables and ask you questions about what you might have seen at White Pines in the near or distant past by viewing today’s landscape through a forest forensics lens.
All participants, volunteers, and TLC staff will be required to wear a mask that covers both mouth and nose the entire hike. This is a free event, but pre-registration is required. Dress for the weather, bring a water bottle, and we look forward to seeing you out on trail!
