Come join us at our Horton Grove Nature Preserve for the December Get Wild Family program! We will be meeting right at dusk and will be taking a short night time walk to talk about nocturnal animals and their senses. Once night has officially fallen then we will even do some star gazing and see what all we can find.
We are so excited to host this event and are looking forward to having you on trail. Please remember to bring a water bottle, warm layers, a blanket or chair to sit on, and a mask if you have not been vaccinated!

Please join us at our Williamson Farm and Nature Preserve for fun winter crafts and a short winter walk! We will have several activities for winter decorations such as bird friendly garlands and ornaments. We will also transform into citizen scientists by learning about the Christmas Bird Count that runs from December 14th-January 4th! You are welcome to participate in the count by going on a walk on our preserve trails right after the event!
We are so excited to host you and please bring warm layers, good walking shoes, a water bottle, and a mask if you have not been vaccinated!

Join us for our one of our first hikes of the new year! Johnston Mill is one of the most beautiful sites in Orange County (besides Brumley Forest of course) and we are so excited to be able to host a hike to start off 2022! This easy hike will take about 2 hours to complete and distance will depend on group speed and what we can find along the way. It will be led by one of our fantastic TLC Trail Guides and the hike will start promptly at 10am so make sure to be at the parking lot ready to explore!
In the event of inclement weather, you will be notified through email the status of the hike. Make sure to remember your water bottle, good walking shoes, and a mask if you have not received the vaccinate. We can’t wait to see you there!
TLC seeks to build a supportive, mask-friendly environment in all collaborations with staff and the public. We strongly encourage all attendees to respect each other’s choices and to wear a mask if that makes you feel most comfortable. Our top priority is to create a safe environment for our community.
