Triangle Land Conservancy to celebrate improvements and wildflowers at Flower Hill

On Saturday, May 2, Triangle Land Conservancy (TLC) will celebrate recent improvements made at Flower Hill, its nature preserve in eastern Johnston County, with a dedication ceremony. Following the brief ceremony at 10 a.m., TLC will host its traditional Flower Hill Rhodo Ramble guided hike to see the magnificent Catawba rhododendron blooms and other wildflowers indigenous to this remarkable corner of the world. Read more.  

Conservation Garden Tour visits Five Wake County Gardens, Not Your Garden Variety Garden Tour

With hot summer days just around the corner, now is the time to get out and enjoy the beauty that spring has to offer. Spend the day enjoying the shade, birdsongs, flowers, and homegrown food of five local gardens that enhance the environmental health of our community. The Reid Chapter of the NC Native Plant Society and Triangle Land Conservancy (TLC) are celebrating the contributions of private gardens and residential properties to the health and beauty of the Triangle’s environment with the second annual Conservation Gardens Tour from 1 p.m.to 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 25. Triangle Land Conservancy offers taste of the Irvin Learning Farm at the Primavera Preview 

Triangle Land Conservancy will showcase the new Irvin Learning Farm summer camp at the Primavera Preview April 25, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. The camp, located at TLC’s 269-acre Irvin Farm, is a place for discovery, fun and adventure in the natural world. Participants in the Primavera Preview will be able to interact with farm animals, enjoy a hayride, complete a scavenger hunt, meet the camp teachers, and create an art project inside a tepee erected on the farm. Triangle Land Conservancy appoints new Director of Development

Triangle Land Conservancy has hired Dan Bruer as its new Director of Development. Mr. Bruer’s role with TLC will be focused on the successful completion of the $5.5 million Our Water, Our Land capital campaign, directly improving TLC’s capacity to protect vital lands in the region. He will also be responsible for creating and implementing strategies to increase funding for new and expanding initiatives. He began on February 16. Read more
