That's right, paddles with an 's.' Not one but TWO opportunities to ply and play in the waters of the Neuse in Wake County. In the morning, Joe Jacob of the Haw River Canoe & Kayak Company will lead a 3.5 mile jaunt from Milburnie Dam to Poole Road -- a three-hour tour, if you will. In the afternoon, Banks Dixon of Frog Hollow Outdoor will add about 2.5 miles to that trip, running from Milburnie Dam to Auburn-Knightdale Road.
The woodland scenery and abundant wildlife here make it hard to believe that this stretch of the Neuse is literally right next to Raleigh. Mostly flat water interspersed with numerous little Class I-ish riffles and a couple of more significant Class I ledges (one Class II ledge at higher water).

The cost for both trips is $25 per person for TLC members; $35 per person for non-TLC members.
Cancellation Policy: 30 days notice = full refund / 14 days notice = credit for a trip with the outfitter you paid.
Rain Policy: All trips are rain or shine. If it rains, we're celebrating! Except for lightning, we're paddling.
In the case of cancellation due to lightning, you will get a credit for another trip with the outfitter you paid.
