Land Trust Day 2008 Business Partners
Please join TLC in thanking these businesses for their support
of open space protection in our region. Most importantly, patronize
their businesses and let them know that you're glad they've joined
with TLC to help save the places you love!
Great Outdoor Provision Company, an outdoor clothing and gear outfitter with nine
store locations across the state, continued to anchor our Land Trust Day activities this year.
Seeking to help protect the North Carolina open spaces that are so near and dear to their company's
mission, owners Tom and Becca Valone created the Land Trust Day concept in 1992. They wanted to
contribute to the land protection and stewardship work being done by local land trusts.
This year the company will donated 10% of all June 7 sales to TLC from its stores
located in Cameron Village, Eastgate Shopping Center, Falls Village and Northgate Mall. And land trusts that
work in the regions where other Great Outdoor Provision Co. stores are located (Wilmington,
Charlotte, Greensboro, etc.) received 10% of all June 7 sales from those stores.
