TLC Trail Crew
Trail Crew volunteers assist with stewardship of TLC properties by providing many types of physical support in the field.
Their projects are varied and interesting, and include building kiosks, removing invasive plant species, building and maintaining trails
and cleaning up streams.

Swift Creek Bluffs Workday (September 12, 2009)
Do you want to learn more about strategies to control a highly aggressive invasive plant and help TLC? Here's your chance! Mike Shafale, an ecologist and plant expert with the NC Natural Heritage Program, will lead a workday focused on the manual removal of the invasive species Microstegium (Japanese Stilt Grass) from areas in the Swift Creek Bluffs Preserve. What to bring/wear (applies to all TLC workdays):

sturdy, closed-toe footwear (no sandals or flip-flops)
