Triangle Land Conservancy: Backyard Adventure

With uncertain economic times, many people are looking for getaways close to home. So, TLC is happy to announce a new feature - Backyard Adventures! Every month for the next year, we will provide an itinerary for discovering some of the natural and cultural jewels of the Triangle. We'll combine explorations of natural areas with nearby dining opportunities and local culture.

Are you sticking with your New Year’s resolution, or is it as forgotten as that ornament that rolled under the couch? Maybe you resolved to get more exercise...or to get in touch with nature more often...or to take time to savor all the wonderful sights and sounds of the Triangle. Well, this month’s do-it-yourself tour of the Triangle, Lower Haw and Animal Paws, (and actually all of our Backyard Adventures) can help you keep any of these resolutions or get them right back on track.

Now pack up the kids, put a couple gallons of gas in the tank and come explore the Triangle with TLC's Backyard Adventures!
