A 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, TLC accepts a variety of gifts as outlined in our Gift Acceptance Policy¹, including:
- Gifts of cash
- Gifts of securities, including stock, bonds, mutual funds, and IRAs
- Gifts of real property, including homes, business property, and conservation lands²
- Gifts of interest in conservation lands and working lands (conservation agreements)²
- Deferred gifts, such as bequests and trusts
Certain tax advantages exist with each type of gift, particularly gifts of appreciated property, and we encourage you to consult your accountant and/or attorney before making a gift to TLC.
For the campaign, pledges may be paid over a three- to five-year period.
