s and creeks and what you can do to help! Then we will even perform our ve
ry own study of the ecosystem to see if we can find any indicator species
that will show us how healthy the environment is. If you are a member of t
he Triangle Explorers program then you will also earn your Get Wild! badge
and your Conservation badge!\n\nIn accordance with CDC guidelines\, masks
should be worn by those who are unvaccinated or when anyone cannot mainta
in social distancing with guests other than your family/pod. TLC seeks to
build a supportive\, mask-friendly environment in all collaborations with
staff and the public. We encourage others to be respectful of personal ch

decided to postpone this event to next Saturday 11/19/22.\nCalling all ki
ds ages 7-12 (and their families!)\nCome out to Horton Grove Nature preser
ve on Saturday November 12th to learn all about medicinal plants and how t
hey transform over the Fall. You will learn about a variety of plants nati
ve to North Carolina and their historical medicinal uses. With the seasons
changing\, kids will also learn about how and why plants change to create
the beautiful array of Autumn color. This hike will be about 1.5-2 miles
long with many stops along the way.\nPlease remember to wear good walking
shoes\, and bring a full water bottle and some snacks for the trail. This
is a free event\, but preregistration is required.\nMake sure to save your
spot here!\nIf the event is full\, please fill out the form at this link
to be added to the waitlist.\nCurrent Mask Policy: TLC seeks to build a su
pportive\, mask-friendly environment in all collaborations with staff and
