from land histories to information on the ecology of the preserve. He may
even turn the tables and ask you questions about what you might have seen
at White Pines in the near or distant past by viewing today’s landscape th
rough a forest forensics lens.\n\nAll participants\, volunteers\, and TLC
staff will be required to wear a mask that covers both mouth and nose the

Week! We will be hosting a hike at our wonderful White Pines Nature Preser
ve that will cover some of the natural wonders of the confluence of the Ro
cky and Deep Rivers as well as some of the history of Chatham County’s lan
d near the preserve.\nWe hope that you will be able to join us\, just make
sure you wear good walking shoes and bring a water bottle! This will be a
moderate 3 mile hike with a decent amount of topography change. This is a
free event\, but preregistration is required!\nSave your spot on the hike
here at this link.\nCurrent Mask Policy: TLC seeks to build a supportive\
, mask-friendly environment in all collaborations with staff and the publi
c. Please wear a mask if you are not vaccinated\, or if that makes you fee
