\nJoin us at Williamson Farm and Nature Preserve to tak e part in the annual NC Science Festival Star Party with TLC! Did you know that you can walk the entire solar system at our Preserve? Dart around Ma rs and the Moon while dodging asteroids by taking just a short scaled sola r system walk on one of our trails. You can also complete hands-on activit ies that range from arts and crafts to having fun with moon phase oreos. W e’ll end the night with guided star gazing after exploring the wonders at Williamson.
\nWe will be outside the entire time\, so dress for the weather\, bring a blanket or lawn chairs to sit in\, and be sure to bring your excitement! We can’t wait to see you!

\nJoin us for one of our first hikes of the new year! Johnston Mill is one of the most beautiful sites in Orange County (besides Brumley Forest of course) and we are so excited to be able to host a hike to star t off 2022! This easy hike will take about 2 hours to complete and distanc e will depend on group speed and what we can find along the way. Although this will be primarily a social hike\, we will occasionally stop to look f or clues to the natural and human histories of this Preserve. It will be l ed by one of our fantastic TLC Trail Guides and the hike will start prompt ly at 10am so make sure to be at the parking lot ready to explore!
\nIn the event of inclement weather\, you will be notified through email th e status of the hike. Make sure to remember your water bottle\, good walki ng shoes\, and a mask. We can’t wait to see you there!

You do not need to bring anything\, other t han good walking shoes and a full water bottle.
